Mastering different foreign languages from the earliest days is a decisive factor in the development of a child's cognitive abilities and has positive consequences on the social level, on independence, on self-confidence and on one's development.
Here are some benefits of being bilingual:
Our school offers a French-English bilingual environment in which our team members, although they are bilingual, only speak one language with our children. As a result, children know which language to use according to the adult they want to talk to, and thus they can easily switch from one language to another.
The English-speaking adults only communicate in English with our children. The impregnation of a language is made progressively, without experiencing any translations or language lessons. Indeed, before the age of 6, a child learns by absorbing, without going through any mental analysis, but by immersing himself in what he wants to conquer and what the environment provides him.
All day long, the English-speaking adults arouse the children's curiosity and abilities to concentrate, talk about everyday life events, give time markers (date, day...). tell stories, teach songs and nursery rhymes, and present the educational material in English.
